I have been posting a lot about white lately and thought I'd give you a little color today!
Saturday my family and I went to the Dia de Los Muertos celebration at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. The cemetery was founded in 1899 and is the final resting place for most of the founders of Hollywood's motion picture studios, as well as writers, directors and actors including Johnny Ramone, Cecil B. DeMille, Jayne Mansfield, Rudolph Valentino, Douglas Fairbanks. You can read more about the history of the cemetery and the festival here.
It was a beautiful day in Hollywood; the rains the night before brought back our blue skies which was the perfect backdrop for all the intense colors of the day.

The altars were spectacular ...
and so were the people!
This family memorialized not only their family members, but the house they lived in as well.
There were arts and crafts expositions
And artists remembered ...
Some came to see ...
And some came to be seen.
Some to perform ...
And others ... just to take it all in!
Mi familia!
Oh my gosh!! I want to go there next year! How incredible! I can't even begin to put words to how spectacular this event looks. The colors, the creativity, love the art, love how much passion is shown through. And your familia, a bit pasty, but oh so cute.
