I'm driving my daughter back to her school in Northern California today. She could have flown as she usually does but I had a job to work on up in the area later in the week (well, kind of in the area) and I thought it would be a nice time to spend with her before she starts another semester. It is always so great to have her home when she is on a break and when she goes back I grieve her being gone all over again.

I will spend a couple of days in Berkeley with my daughter and we will enjoy our favorite places and stay in our usual hotel watching movies in bed and munching on their fresh chocolate chip cookies (have you ever stayed at a Doubletree Hotel? We love those warm cookies!).

And then she will start classes (or demonstrations, ha ha) and I will head off to Chico which is about 130 miles away. Chico is a wonderful college town where a previous client of mine moved a couple of years ago. We will be starting phase two of her house remodel. I will share more of that later. I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday!
P.S. If you are going to play hooky from school make sure you are not photographed by an AP photographer - her photo showed up in newspapers and online news across the nation! (Actually, she did tell me ahead of time she was going and it was arranged by the school and promoted by one of her professors as extra credit!).

Oh Sherri, I feel for you. I look forward to and dread the day my girls go off to college (4 years from now). With twins, I'll be without both of them at the same time. Can't even go there! What gorgeous pictures. Looking forward to seeing your project!
I love the rebel in her! Something she will always remember. And makes for a good story she can embellish later in life. PS: tks on the pic. :-)
Beautiful girl and such a great school. You must be so proud.

Have a wonderful road trip! One of these days I'll have to try the Doubletree because I LOVE chocolate chip cookies! *winks* Happy trails Vanna
Have a wonderful time. Sounds perfect. I know exactly what you mean about saying goodbye when the kids leave. Never is easy. Have fun.
