My birthday was a couple of weeks ago but I was out of town so I am still celebrating it with some good friends who won't let it slip by like I am inclined to do. Yesterday I had lunch with one of those friends and she gave me the nicest and incredibly creative and thoughtful gift. She has been reading my blog and has been picking up on some of the latest design trends - one of them being Pantone's color of the year. The first thing she did for my gift was print out some photos of houses with gray walls, white upholstery and hot pink accents. At first I thought she just found the images on the computer. I could see that they came from BHG.com and so I went onto their site so that I could get the images to share with you. But I could only find this first one.
It turns out that she customized a couple of rooms herself with their
color-a-room tool. I was even more impressed that she had done all that herself and had gone to such effort. She did a really great job and I love both the rooms she created!
On the top of the beautifully wrapped package (I wish I hadn't torn the paper or I could have shown you) She had placed a darling felt flower pin on top of the bow. She had it custom made and had told the artist that she wanted the color to be Honeysuckle!!! How cute is that?
Inside the package was a beautiful gray sweater. She had taken the color scheme from the rooms that she created and came up with a coordinating outfit. How creative!!!
So thank you my dear friend for your thoughtfulness and for the beautiful gift. I thought you might enjoy these next few rooms!

And thank you to my talented and generous photographer sister who spent hours today photographing all the individual items for our new venture (or should I say, adventure!) - wedding design! I got such a great response (and many requests) from the wedding I did for my daughter last year, that we decided to take a leap and expand in that direction. I will keep you posted ... right now we are still in the planning stages.
