Well, I took lousy photos (the lighting was all off) and there were too many things still undone in the nursery (they were painting the inside of the closet today and things were everywhere!) to show the final reveal. So I will just show you snippets.
This client wanted pink. A lot of pink. And a nursery fit for a princess, on a less than royal budget ...
The crib belonged to the older brother and couldn't be changed but it dressed up well. We hung new drapes and added a beautiful chandelier ...
We used ready-made drapes that matched the crib bedding (from here) and I added a contrasting fabric to the bottom of the longer panels to make them long enough.
The walls were painted the softest pink (Benjamin Moore Aztec Lily 2080-70) and the wallpaper is from here.
{chandelier from overstock}
We are still waiting for the rug which is backordered ...
And a mirror which is in transit ...
{mirror}
Photos need to be placed in the frames (I'm thinking a black and white of this little girl's feet for one) ...
{frames from Ikea}
Knobs to be installed on the existing dresser ...
{Anthropologie}
And this chair and matching ottoman were covered with all the contents of the closet so it was futile to try to get good photos:
I am learning to be patient!
And so is my daughter. Today is her official due date. We are still waiting!
Good morning, my dear friend!
ReplyDeleteI came here thinking about your daughter... wondering if you're a grandma already! Wow, today is her due date? It will be any moment now! I'll pray for her tonight. I only have 10 weeks to go. It's flying by too!
I love this nursery. The wallpaper is so sweet. Everything is looking beautiful and you aren't even done yet!
Keep me posted about your daughter, please.
Have a wonderful day!

Oh, it's so beautiful. What a gorgeous room for the new little one. Of course, every girl needs a chandelier in her life! xo
ReplyDeleteWhere is the tiara?
ReplyDeleteI would love to see the crib painted an ivory lacquer.
Gorgeous room!!!!!

What a sweet nursery! Thanks for the great lead on an affordable, attractive chandelier. I have been looking for one. All the details (those knobs) are so precious.
ReplyDeleteI think the b/w photo of feet will be a great touch. I have one of my grandson's hands...they are only that tiny for such a short period of time so capture as many images as you can. You will not regret it.
Thinking of you as you wait for your grandchild.
Best,
Victoria
Absolutely beautiful! I adore the chandelier. The drapes and rug are so pretty. Totally fit for a little Princess.

I love all the pink details...especially the knobs from Anthropologie and the chandelier. Curtains always add so much to a room...it really softens it. And love the idea of a b & W of little feet...so sweet.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine how thrilled you are and watching your phone like a hawk when you're not in the same room as your daughter!

Wow! It's gorgeous. I really love that chandelier! I would be so proud to show off my baby in that room. What a great job you did. I hope the baby has already arrived as I'm writing this a little past post date! Congratulations, grandma. Boy did that time fly since you announced it! Enjoy every moment.
ReplyDeleteFit for a princess indeed!! How fun!!
