For a while I tried to make Mondays, "my day". Because I often work through the weekend I thought it would be nice to take Monday as a day off - a day that I could attend to the things around my own house. Like cleaning and paying bills, running errands or just catching up on a good book (have you read The Hunger Games yet???).
But that didn't really work. It turns out that Mondays are just too busy of a day for taking any time off.
I still haven't figured out what day 'my day' is yet. But I do like the idea of it.
Happy Monday! xo
Perfect reminder that we all deserve a day or some "me time" as a toddler says "mine" - I we need not feel selfish or one bit of guilt.
ReplyDeleteA walk in nature or just taking time away from daily responsibilities gives us time to catch or breath.

Monday's do feel like a fresh start to me. I usually try to think about what's ahead for the week and get myself in order - organize, etc. I'd love a me day but that doesn't happen often (need to make that happen). I enjoy my hour lunch to myself during the week. I'll catch up on blogs or magazines or just run errands. Hope you had a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove this quote Sherri! I neeeeever would have thought of that. It's brilliant. Happy My-Day to you ;)
ReplyDeleteSometimes I love Monday because it's a whole week of possibilities. Other times its overwhelming. I do love your new blog look, though! Hope you can stop by soon, I'd love to get your opinion at my blog!

Gotta Love the idea of a me day...sounds awesome. Have a beautiful day xx
ReplyDeleteI love that first quote. Going to pin it! Monday's are hard to take off. I know what you mean about working all the time. I spend a lot of time working on the weekends and I really need to stop. I'm trying to keep my office hours from 9-5 and then shut it down. So hard to do.
ReplyDeleteMarianne, 9-5? What a concept! Why am I working long into the early morning? xo
