The bride and her father
(photo taken with my iPhone)
There were two flowers girls and three ring bearers ... this was one of the sweetest wedding parties I have ever seen.
A small flower posy; one each for the bride and groom's mothers.
The bride asked for all white flowers. There were no complaints from me on that! But I did throw in a little peach to break it up. In one of our first meetings she requested a white runner down the aisle. Because the aisle was part grass and part concrete, a fabric runner was just not a good idea, I had to tell her - it would bunch up and I did not want to see her trip. So instead, I filled the aisle with white rose petals. We had her flower girls sprinkle the aisle with peach rose petals.
This was one of the bride's favorite quotes; I loved it so much I thought it should be part of the ceremony.
Do you recognize my blue chair ... it really gets around doesn't it?
We rented the LOVE sign from a local gal who had used it for her own wedding a few months ago - it was the perfect thing for a long plain fence and it was spectacular lit up at night.
The groom wanted to drink out of mason jars. I was worried about glass around the pool so I found a plastic alternative. We used them for the place cards. We transformed the backyard from the ceremony to the reception during the cocktail hour. The guests went inside for a mashed potato bar appetizer and we moved in the tables ...
The kids had their own table with decorated white Chivari chairs and crayons to write on the white butcher paper that covered their tablecloths.
The street was blocked off with vintage chairs ...
And the entry decorated with a rustic vignette.
The bride sent me two quotes ... this was the second one. When the bride sent it to me she wrote, "Will picked the second one and it's pretty cute because that was one of the first things he said to me, "You're going to be the girl I spend the rest of my life with." And then I told him he was crazy and to leave me alone. :) Haha." I really loved working with this couple. They are adorable.
The wedding was thoughtful and very meaningful ... full of little details that they wanted to make their day more special. They had a champagne toast as part of their ceremony and they put their rings in a little pouch bag and passed them around to each guest to "warm" and bless before they put them on.
They also know how to throw a really fun party!
